Manager, City Recreation Facilities – Stirling City Council (WA)
WA Perth based Tony Giggs is currently the Manager of the City of Stirling Recreation Facilities for the City of Stirling. His primary focus over the past 3 years has been the development of the coastal Scarborough Beach Pool in conjunction with Scarborough precinct redevelopment.
His recent work projects have been concentrated on design, planning and implementation of both new and existing Aquatic, Sport and Recreation Centres. This has resulted in client representation of project management teams in order to bring significant infrastructure projects to fruition.
His core responsibilities also include overseeing the management of thirteen recreation centres and a public golf course whilst providing management input into areas of club development, leisure planning, master planning, aquatic and recreation facility operations, beach services, major sporting event management and performance management.
His qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Recreation and an Electrical Engineering Diploma.
Tony’s main interests outside of work are cycling, swimming and reading and his latest challenge is trying to learn to speak French!
