Creative Director – Mahana Culture
Tavale is of proud Samoan, Scottish, Irish, Kiwi and now Australian heritage. He tells his cultural tale from Samoa to New Zealand to California to Melbourne, Australia.
With a Bachelor of Social Practice, Tavale has worked in the social service sector for over 20 years occupying positions from frontline through to senior management. Most recently delivering a participation project for the NRL working with diverse communities in Victoria. Throughout his journey, the effects of culture, previously unrecognized, neglected, or minimized, have become the linchpin in the work and roles he performs.
Tavale believes culture underpins everything we do; that societies which embrace, celebrate, and reignite cultural dignity, prosper and thrive.
From this vision Mahana Culture was born.
