Sandro Bisetto
Rio Olympics Team Coach and National Junior High Jump Coach – Athletics Australia

Sandro has combined a career as a senior Physical Education teacher with coaching for over 30 years. Sandro began coaching at the grass roots level and has developed into a successful International high jump coach. His personal athletes have represented Australia at World Junior Championships, Commonwealth Games, World University Games, World Championships and the Olympic Games. His most decorated jumper, Tim Forsyth, won bronze medals at the Olympic Games and the World Championships. Sandro has been a Team Coach for all major Championships and recently was a team coach for the Rio Olympics and last year’s World University Games in Taipei. His team coaching duties have included all jumps as well as the heptathlon and decathlon. Sandro is passionate about coach education and particularly the value our “volunteer” coaches give to all sports. He believes they are the backbone of sport in this country and often undervalued and sometimes to the detriment of their careers and family life. He welcomes any coach education discussions.
