Manager Leisure Centres and Sport – Hume City Council
Bruce Fordham is the Manager of Leisure Centres and Sport at Hume City Council.
He is responsible for Sports Planning, delivery of services to sporting clubs and the community, advocating to Government for funds to deliver key infrastructure in growth areas and the development of a range of strategic plans related to Sport. He is also responsible for the direct management and operation of three Aquatic and Leisure Centres located in Hume City.
Bruce is a former National President of Parks and Leisure Australia and is a Frank Stewart Award recipient for his contribution to the Parks and Leisure industry.
The role he currently holds also has responsibility for the planning and delivery of significant capital works projects which includes the recent development of a new regional aquatic and fitness centre in Craigieburn (SPLASH), a regional tennis centre, hockey centre and regional athletics centre.
Bruce has worked in a number of senior management positions in Local Government and has been employed in the Local Government sector for over 25 years.
