Arden Joseph
Director Social Development – Moreland City Council

Arden joined Moreland City Council in July 2015 as Director Social Development with portfolio responsibility for Social Policy, Early Years, Arts & Culture, Libraries & Learning, Recreation & Leisure, Youth services, Aged services, and Strategic Advocacy.

Prior to this Arden was Director of Community Wellbeing at Maribyrnong City Council since 2011 with responsibility for a similar group of portfolios. Arden’s career prior to this was in the Victorian Public Service with a number of Directorships in Planning & Community Development, Sport & Recreation Victoria, Department of Education & Training, and Employment Programs.

He holds a Bachelor of Business degree from RMIT, has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course and is a Fellow of Leadership Victoria. He has also served on a number of work related committees and is a Life Governor of bestchance Child Family Care in a personal capacity.
